Maybe they were, but Jesus died for our sins. Any Christian would know that. He also taught forgiveness.
I saw it when I was 18 and it has been one of my top movie going experiences of all time. Our theater was really into it and laughed and screamed at all the right parts.
I read the book, and I'm loving how the series is going so far. They did a great job with casting these characters!
