It does go beyond trust, but i was replying to what TwentytoOneDevotchka said.
Still, even if you need Dwight more, why kill the doctor? What does that prove? I kill everybody that betrays me? Did anybody had doubts about that?
Also i disagree that doctors are indispensable in zday. So you take one from another community ... and what is that community suppose to do? They will die like flies without a doctor and i had the impression Negan wants/needs them to work for him. The way i see it, it's a snowball effect.
So he couldn't trust his doctor, but he can trust a doctor from another community? How does that make sense?
Punishing him would've been the smart move, killing him was STUPID. Bad writing overall and a waste of an episode.
