She definitely does, I think if this project came along around 10 years ago she would've gotten the part.
Yea I forgot about that but I still prefer Metacritic. I've noticed with the films I've seen, their scores are more accurate/reasonable. Idk, just my personal preference.
I've learned the hard way not to trust Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic is better imo. Each review has a numerical score as opposed to "fresh" or "rotten". Anyway this looks a little cheesy, even for a holiday film.

Well I can only speak for myself but the prince always turns out looking like a wimpy pretty boy. The beast might be ugly but at least he's masculine.
The prince always turns out to be a disappointment no matter which version it is.
This movie was very disappointing. None of them have as strong voices as their predecessors (cartoon movie). I couldn't help but notice how often Emma Watson's songs were changed to compensate for her weak voice.
All the backlash Emma Watson got for her auto-tuning was well deserved but I don't understand why Dan Stevens was given a free pass. If you go to YouTube and listen to both versions of Evermore (Dan's actual voice and the Beast version) they both sound computer generated, so much so that it's actually cringe worthy. People in the comment section were actually saying that Dan's version was better than Josh Groban (they were saying he used too much vibrato, uh that's what singers do!).... it's amazing how tone deaf people are. Dan's auto-tuning was much worse than Emma's IMO.
He looks like a goat which I'm sure will spawn a ton of Satanic speculation down the road.
I remember someone saying he looked like a demonic water buffalo lol. The beast looked terrible, I don't understand why they did just do something practical and maybe use some CGI here and there. Its sad that the beast in the 1946 version looked better than this version and that was over 70 years ago! Just goes to show how lazy they were making this film.
Ever notice that the Prince doesn't say to Belle
Prince: Belle its me
Belle: It is you
I was too distracted by Dan Stevens' stupid Fabio wig to notice.
I knew this was going to do well at the box office but I was stunned to find out how much it actually made. Just goes to how low the bar is nowadays. To be fair it wasn't as bad as I was expecting (my expectations were extremely low!) but like many people have already said, it definitely did not have the charm of the animation. Now I'm really worried for The Lion King and Aladdin.
