10 years later and just wanted to point out in the Fred Ward scene how they're lying there after sex, and Anne Archer gets so disgusted with him that she gets up, goes to the bathroom, and washes his cum out of her pussy. A crazy detail but so telling of her feelings at that moment. The only thing Meryl Streep is good for is championing pedophiles. Pretty much. They make garbage and if you don't like it, you're racist. Or any number of catch-22s to try to protect the garbage they put out. It's kind of like when that horrible Charlie's Angels film came out and they were saying how men shouldn't go and this is a film just for women. Then it bombed and they tried to say everyone's misogynist because men didn't go see it and it failed. It's laughable at this point. Yeah, after Dawn, Xander was my second most disliked character. He was so wishy-washy and I kept wanting him to grow some balls and eventually become a man but it never happened. My fiancee used to say it was disturbing how I kept rewinding that part in the last season when Caleb gouges out Xander's eye but I used to tell her how Xander's spent season after season making me hate him, that I can't help but feel entertained seeing him take some serious abuse. This is spot on, calling her a useless character who overstayed her welcome. In fact, the way Joss started writing the Buffy character for the rest of the seasons with Dawn around really was a low point. I honestly want to enjoy the last two seasons so much but Dawn makes it damn near impossible. Dawn was probably the only character that almost made me stop watching. Just beside the fact that there was nothing likable about her, the weird way Joss wrote the Buffy character after Dawn appeared never sat right. How she was so hellbent on defending Dawn, even though with all her experience with the occult, she really should have understood how Dawn came into existence better. Yet, she still chose to threaten her own team when faced with the choice of destroying Dawn. Ugh...there's nothing redeeming about Dawn or how Joss chose to write the Buffy character for the last two seasons. I'm sort of on the fence. I don't really go there but I changed every one of my ratings to like "2" to skew all the ratings. I was thinking of deleting my account but I might keep it just to tear through movies and rate them all "2" just to keep skewing the results. Exactly Kia. People who like chatting about movies HAVE TO chat about them. Just because IMDb closed their boards doesn't mean that the people just stop. They all have to find somewhere to chat and so it'll start picking up. Some people might be bummed or depressed but once they get over that they'll be looking to start chatting again. I think it'll be slow starting but things will pick up and soon it'll be like IMDb never existed anyway. Not sure yet if I'm deleting my account because I want to see if I can cause some kind of headache there still for them. I did go through the hundreds of films I rated and changed every rating to "2". lol Not sure if it means anything but I just wanted to skew the ratings for the films because I'm sure in some way film ratings are important to IMDb and who makes the films. I rated them all a "2" because I heard at one time (although it's unconfirmed) that IMDb gets rid of all the "10" and "1" votes so fanboys and haters are taken out of the ratings equation. Wiki for details I come here to discuss film No need for old site. I wouldn't be surprised if Col Needham was just pissed with all the backlash from his announcement and just decided to delete them early out of spite. He seems narcissistic enough. I joined TheMovieDb and find it a pretty good alternative to IMDB but I'm also just stumbling onto this site and finding it equally good for chatting about films. I do like that they managed to copy over some of the discussions from IMDB. Unfortunately they didn't get them all as I'm browsing some niche films I liked from IMDB and there's no messages but I do understand there wasn't enough time to archive them all (which I bet was some of Col Needham's motivation behind the short announcement and deletion) as he just wants them gone and not to continue elsewhere. Even though Moviechat didn't get them all, I have seen some of the movies I liked with the message boards intact so some is better than none. I'll probably end up splitting my time between both here and themovieDb which isn't really a big deal.
