I pretty much agree with you on Kristen's acting. She brings a lot of emotion and as you say "authenticity" to her acting. Especially shows in Indie movies which are often less glitzy but can be more character driven. Dakota having been in the Twilight movies, Kristen is now in a film with Dakota Fanning's sister Elle. Keep it in the family! ;) Movie seems a bit of a dark drama from what I read. So I assume some interesting/strong character portrayals, which is good for Kristen and Elle. Kristen likes those roles and Elle has been doing a good amount of work for a while now. CK, Thanks for bringing this info here. CKid, thanks for the info and updates. New movie Sontag plus - 4/13 UPDATE: Kristen has just been cast in a supporting role in a comedy titled Sacramento. I like Kristen doing comedic roles, those are fun movies. Interesting about a possible new Assayas movie! It's been a bit quiet lately with Kristen, but she's always doing something even if low key. Yeah, she was coming into her teen years and started looking more like she does now. This is quite something, that Kristen Stewart will head the 2023 Berlin film festival international jury. Thanks for posting this. I just started watching "Wheel of Time" on Amazon. I read some of the books, up to 4 or 5, and it's a great story. The show is a good one! Not sure how many seasons so far to the series. I'm also watching " Rings of Power" on Amazon. I like the story, characters and acting. This was the first season. Also a favorite "The Walking Dead" - last season. It's been a heck of a ride! I've also been seeing Joe Bastardi give forecasts and a lot of good information on Ian plus information on hurricanes in general. He's a real wealth of information as you note. I have a co-worker in northeast Florida, but he still expects to get hit a bit hard. My brother and his wife have a small place in Port Charlotte they spend winters at. It isn't on the coast but the center of the hurricane is going right through the area. He's waiting to hear from neighbors if his place takes damage or not. Kristen's got an interesting connection with Miracle, the film about the 1980 gold medal winning USA hockey team. In it, Kurt Russell plays Herb Brooks, the coach of the team. Kurt played Kristen's dad in the short film Cutlass, while Herb's wife is played by Patricia Clarkson, who played Kristen's mom in The Safety of Objects. Cool bit of trivia CK. Cutlass was a good short video with quite a cast for about a 20 minute production. Aside from Kurt Russell -Dakota Fanning, Chevy Chase, Dax Shepard, Sarah Romer, Virgina Madsen. Safety of Objects was a good character study type movie, also with a strong cast. Glenn Close, Dermot Mulroney, Timothy Oliphant, and as you mentioned Patricia Clarkson. CK, some good choices there in the pics LL showed. And I liked her EW photos also. And you certainly have a lot to pick from with her many other photo shoots and appearances. Maybe something from one of her older photo shoots - she has lots of good ones there. Needless to say, I was extremely annoyed that neither Speak nor The Cake Eaters were included on this list. Then I realized that none of Kristen's pre-Twilight performances were included. Thus Panic Room and Into the Wild were also excluded. Speak and The Cake Eaters are among the best performances of hers IMO. I agree also that Panic Room and Into The Wild should also be in there as both are very strong performances. She was young in those and certainly all of them got her additional roles from studios. Sean Penn, director for Into The Wild, giving her a strong recommendation for a next role she received. Right, the writer left out her pre-Twilight movies but then she has a lot of roles/movies so while it may appear that the writer limited the list, some of Kristen's better roles were left out. Here's my partial list: 1) Spencer 2) Clouds of Sils Maria 3) The Cake Eaters 4) The Runaways 5) Speak 6) Adventureland 7) Still Alice 8) Welcome to the Rileys 9) Panic Room 10) Camp X-Ray 11) Personal Shopper 12) On the Road I sent you an email that I did receive it. Started reading it, looks quite interesting so far. Hey LL, yes I would be interested in reading it. I'll send you my email in a PM. You may not be able to send all of it given how big it is but maybe you can send a part of it. Or some kind of summary. Very nice LL. Keep us posted on how it goes, and on any feedback from them. Thanks for the info on this new movie "Love Lies Bleeding." She's always busy but lately seems to be getting a bit busier with movie roles. I assume most of these are Indie movies which often have the more interesting character types though are smaller movies. Interesting linkage information there CK! Especially that Jena played the younger character in the movie "Contact". Good, cool movie too. :) "In other news, I see that the following actors have been added to the cast of Love Lies Bleeding, the film that Kristen is currently working on. They are ... Jena Malone (Jena and Kristen previously had roles in Into the Wild)" I didn't realize that they both were "In The Wild". I think I first saw Jena Malone in her role "The Hunger Games". She seems cool too, a bit like Kristen. Thanks for the Indiewire link about "Irma Veep". Alicia Vikander is another actress I like; good to see her and Kristen together in a show, though only for a cameo in a finale. I checked out "Nope". It sounds like a good sci-fi movie involving possible UFOs. I like that kind of story. :) It's already out, so I figure I'll see it when it comes to cable/on demand. I also saw Minari . and Steven Yuen was also a main character on The Walking Dead for many seasons. He's a good, young actor. The idea of this movie is unique, it'll be interesting how it comes out. I hadn't heard of this, thanks for posting it LL!
