Rank the X-Men Cinematic Universe! Batman v. Superman wins MOST Superhero Razzies in history! View all posts >

I don't see how it can take place in the original prime timeline where the Sentinels had mutants in concentration camps, since Xavier was killed off in 2013 in that timeline. Officially, I believe this film is set six years after the "good" future timeline created by Wolverine altering history, though its also hard to reconcile what we see in this movie with everything being fine and dandy just six years earlier. I'm back! rank De Niro Catholic Priest trilogy: 1 True Confessions (1981) 2 Sleepers (1996) 3 We're No Angels (1989) There are plenty of X-Men stories with the old and new cast that can take place BEFORE the events of this film. Its set in the far future when Professor X is pushing 100. It's not the greatest thing ever made, but it is BY FAR the best of the three Wolverine solo films. Catwoman vs. Dump of Injustice... which is WORSE? Catwoman, the previous MOST Razzie winning superhero movie, only took home ONE Razzie for acting. Halle Berry won Worst Actress. None of her co-stars won any Razzies. Additionally, its writers won Worst Screenplay, its director won Worst Director, and the studio won Worst Picture. Dump of Injustice, on the other hand, won no less than THREE Worst Acting awards: Henry Cavill won for Psuedoman, Ben Affleck won for Batfleck, AND Jesse Eisenberg won for Lex Luthor In Name Only. Additionally, its writers won Worst Screenplay, and the studio won Worst Prequel, Sequel, Remake, or Ripoff. Total numbers: Catwoman resulted in 4 Razzie "wins" to individuals, 1 for the studio. Dump of Injustice resulted in 5 Razzie "wins" to individuals, 1 for the studio. Both films would have likely won more Razzies if they weren't up against a documetary getting Razzies for politically motiviated reasons. CATWOMAN RAZZIES Halle Berry (Worst Actress), Pitof (Worst Director), John Brancato (Worst Screenplay), Michael Ferris (Worst Screenplay), Warner Bros. Pictures (Worst Picture) BATFLECK V. PSEUDOMAN RAZZIES Ben Affleck (Worst On Screen Couple), Henry Cavill (Worst On Screen Couple), Jesse Eisenberg (Worst Supporting Actor) Chris Terrio (Worst Screenplay) David S. Goyer (Worst Screenplay), Warner Bros. Pictures (Worst Prequel, Sequel, Remake or Rip-off) Close call, but its Batfleck and Pseudoman for the most "wins"! They've also won FAR more Razzies than ANY previous film that featured Batman OR Superman. The closest runner-up was Batman and Robin, where its sole Razzie was to Alicia Silverstone for Worst Actress (as Batgirl) . YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been vindicated!!! :-) Batfleck v. Pseudoman is now the MOST Razzie winning superhero movie in cinematic history! >>> Honestly though a TV TNG reboot may be a better choice. <<< I would go that route and make it a one-spot made-for-TV film so it doesn't step on the toes of whatever Trek is doing on the big screen at the time. Plus a TV movie or a miniseries is something Trek has never done before. I'd following the basic premise of the Abrams timeline divergence and try to imagine how differently the TNG universe would look from the prime timeline we're familiar with. 130 years after Nero's attack on the Kelvin should result in some massive changes. Since Vulcans weren't a big part of TNG in the prime timeline either, it wouldn't be that hard to reimagine it without Vulcan. Following the example of the 2009 film, this TV event would simply be titled "STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION", with the same type font as the classic TNG TV series from the late 80s/early 90s. All the original characters from TNG would be shown (I'd cast new actors that are age-appropriate for the first season era of TNG), but their lives would be VASTLY different from what happened to them in the prime timeline, as would the ships in this time period and what's going on with UFP. For example, I'd make Picard an archeologist for the United Federation of Planets in the Abrams universe. He never joined Starfleet nor became a captain, although he will certainly interact with numerous Starfleet personnel in the story. The Klingon Empire would be FULLY integrated into the UFP and we'd even see some weird looking hybrid Klingon/Federation vessels. Wesley Crusher would be a girl named "Leslie Crusher", and Jack Crusher would still be alive and well. I'd probably END the story with ALL the main TNG characters (Picard, Riker, Data, Troi, Crusher, Geordi, Worf, Tasha Yar AND Guinan) on screen together for the FIRST time, just to keep the audience in suspense until the very end. They deserve it, especially how they closed a day early and many of us thought we had a few hours left to post some final farewells. View all replies >
