It was 2 different girls played by the same actress. The implication was that the 2nd girl reminded him of his first love (who died at age 25).
What good is it to have individual movie boards if their all dead? There's no active discussions here that I could find.
At least on imdb2 there's moderate user traffic. You can discuss individual movies on there in their Film General.
I'm over at imdb2.freeforums.net. It's more active than movie chat.org.
