I made a reply to the user RandallGraves already basically addressing everything you just said. I never said I would be okay with democratic talking points on non-political pages either; you just put words in my mouth.
That's the thing... I honestly wouldn't give a shit if the politics were kept to this board exclusively. However, that hasn't been the case, and I am seeing more and more political discussions spill over to various movie and celebrity pages. The moderators have stated that doing this is against the rules multiple times (granted, they don't do shit about it, but it's still worth noting). I don't want to have to see people commenting on how "Elliot Page should kill herself" in the comments of his page, and people circle jerk their political opinions about it; it's disgusting and it makes me sick. I came here to talk about movies. That is the title of the damn website: "MovieChat". I have been here since this website's genesis when the IMDB message boards went down, and everyone was scrambling to find a new site. It would just be nice if we kept the politics to this board, and not have them spill over to other non-related forums at the very least. Thanks.
What people on the right don't seem to realize is that BOTH Biden and Trump are corrupt politicans, only working to further the big business interests of America. I don't know a single leftist who even likes Biden. They only picked him because it was the lesser of two evils. Both Biden and Trump don't give two shits about helping out the working class. They are both fake populists with ulterior motives. It's not about republicans vs. democrats. It's about the people vs. the top 1%, and that's what most republicans seem to not understand. The whole system is fundamentally corrupt and needs to change!
*SPOILERS FOR FINALE* I thought I'd come back here after watching the finale, and I've got to say that I didn't expect them to actually kill Cersei and Jaime. I thought they were gonna have them somehow miraculously survive (because of bad writing and plot armour). I do agree; Cersei did deserve way worse. Just getting crushed and instantly killed was an anti-climax. Oh well.
Why is everyone just assuming she is dead? I mean of course it would make sense for her to have died, no shit; she got crushed by a fucking boulder. However, I can easily see her and Jaime surviving as we "technically" didn't see them die. This shit has happened plenty of times in GOT, where characters have survived seemingly impossible feats. Look at the time in season 7 episode 4 where Jaime got hit into the water with his full plated armor and swam to shore; he should have fucking sunk to the bottom like an anchor! Or even look at season 8 episode 4 where Tyrion got hit by a wooden pole in the water, yet somehow swam to shore and survived. I wouldn't be surprised if she lived; in fact, I'd be more surprised if she actually died.
The Gendry part does make sense when you view it from that perspective; I guess I just missed that. The reason I think the Hound should have stayed dead is because when he does appear in season 6, it is so random. The writers did the whole "we didn't show him die, so therefore he isn't dead" trope. It felt like a desperate move to make the show more interesting again, despite it hardly making any sense to the show; in proper Game of Thrones fashion, he should have stayed dead. This is just my opinion though.

I honestly think that seasons 7 and 8 should have been 10 episodes (50 min episodes), and actually attempted to flesh things out better. Everything feels SO rushed. However, I know that HBO has a budget, so that's probably why tbh
