The first time I stopped a first-time-seeing-it movie (we used to call this "walking out") in years! Awful characters. Absurd premise. Cringeworthy characterizations.

All your other reactions to the side, the premise is (sadly) not as absurd as you imagine. Unless you're talking about the mobster plot points. The elder abuse part is cobbled from several real-life events. Google "April Parks," from Nevada.

That was what ruined the movie, for me. It took a serious and disturbing real world issue as the premise but then spun it into a silly mobster action comedy movie. If the premise was absurd from the beginning it may not feel as bad.
