Good Flick, Shit Poster

Three heads on a generic background: that’s every movie poster today.
Why would that make me want to see it?
I didn’t even realize one of those heads was Elisha Cuthbert because I haven’t seen her onscreen since 2007 in “Disturbia.”
How is that supposed to make anyone want to see it?

I didn’t even notice the airplane in amongst the title, nor would that have mattered. But somewhere at the bottom, is a line that might have hooked me:
“He pulled off the perfect heist 59 times. Based on a true story.”

Once a highly effective specialty, movie poster art has devolved into a garbage dump of generic dreck. Essentially it’s HERE’S SOME HEADS YOU MIGHT RECOGNIZE. WHY AREN’T YOU ALREADY WATCHING IT? The visual equivalent of a three-chord, written-by-committee pop song — indistinguishable, forgettable.
