One of the Year's Best
It's rare that you find a child that can carry a whole movie on their shoulders, but Luna Mwezi does exactly in this film.
She's great in this role as the co-dependent daughter of a drug addicted mother, who has alienated her from the whole world and disappointed her over and over again.
Sarah Spale, who plays her mother "Sandrine" deserves great acclaim for playing a tragic figure, who loves her daughter, but loves heroin just as much.
This is not a pretty depiction of addiction and despair. It is just as cold and dark as the condition itself.
