I Didn't get it. Was that another space ship that appeared at the end? did Casper stop the alien attack or was it the the atom bomb? what about Hinata? is she still alive? Is she being controlled by an alien or something along those lines? also did anyone understand what the "star" thing at the end was supposed to mean?

As far as what stopped the attack, I don't know. Maybe Casper's "Stop" caused the aliens to pause long enough for the missile attack to work? I think I blinked and missed something.
I'm guessing that Hinata's (and Casper's) consciousness (?) is still there, but her body is dead (?). She's been assimilated or uploaded (?). The remarks when the girlfriend was talking to Hinata on the radio about not hearing a pause because she's not breathing and it was digital kind of give me that feeling. More so, though, was when they were showing Casper's body at the end, but then you see Casper alive and seeing Hinata's father. I guess that would fit with all the talk about the signals and everything like a super computer controlling a network.
You could also see the water of the ocean retreating or something like the spaceship sucking up the water and I think some of the characters mentioned it that the aliens might be after the water. But it definately looked like a differnt style of alien spaceship.
