Do not read the review, as it SPOILS one or more key plot points, (like so many reviews these days).

The reviews's conclusion:

3.5 stars out of 5.

"Cinematographer Milan Chadima impeccably shoots the film, and the cast, as a whole, does well with the, at times, pedestrian but engaging script... The fight scenes are well-staged, with many impressive action set pieces."

"I only wish the filmmakers had chosen to make this a dark, supernatural, and psychological horror instead of turning it into an all-out action flick. While the action is stellar, the story is intriguing enough that it could have benefited from a more practical approach, highlighting the possible implications of meddling with celestial powers and the ramifications that would surely follow. As it stands, “The Devil Conspiracy” makes for a thrilling and entertaining distraction."

They did not sell a lot of tickets at the multiplex near me. Lack of marketing.

This is perhaps one of the greatest premises for an "occult" film I have ever heard about.

Stealing the Shroud of Turin. It's wonderfully blasphemous.

Of course I haven't seen it. So I don't know if it lives up to the premise. But I will definitely see it.

It has potential to cover theological and philosophical topics, if it's bold enough to go there.

Check it out - it doesn't deserve the average low rating and it's not the comedy-fest some make it out to be.

Good old fashioned good versus evil - I'm guessing that's why it didn't fair so well as the distinction between good and evil seems to be pretty blurred right about now.

Thankfully no one asked anyone to suck their tongue in this movie and no one was drinking Bud Light.

From the review in the OP though, it avoided issues of the occult and is an action flick. Which is fine. But I'd like to see a film explore the topic itself.

As for the Dalai Lama and sucking tongue, I think that was an old man's buffoonery, not an issue of good and evil.

Bud Light is a horrible weak beer.
