Regarding Naird.....He was so cut up about his wife wanting an open marriage, and so happy that they’d managed to finally make love on his last conjugal visit.....but then he goes on the one date with the architect woman (assuming not too soon afterwards) AND sleeps with her immediately. Really? Lost respect for the character after that.

shareWait... they had sex? Strange I don't remember that. I remember them talking about it in the hypothetical sense & I seem to recall a kiss scene but I don't recall them actually having sex. In any case I think it was pretty sick actually how the wife basically emotionally blackmailed him into agreeing to an open marriage on her terms that he clearly didn't want. It was strongly implied that she was already involved with the female prison guard and would have continued whether or not he agreed. She just wanted to guilt him into sanctioning it after the fact so she could openly have her cake and eat pie too. I've heard many stories in real life of sexually confused sluts dropping this sort of thing on their partners.

Well, I assumed they did because the timeline/storyline was pretty quick and seemed to go - they went on a date and he said he needed to tell his daughter about her before she ever went to his house and yes, they joked about taking things further. Then I think one - if not the next scene - was that it was morning, in his house and he was in the kitchen with his daughter sorting breakfast and the woman came down from upstairs! Generally, in film and a TV shows, that means she slept over and they had sex.
I agree that the wife was cruel and single-minded about the open marriage idea and that she’d already entered into a relationship within the prison.

I know what you’re saying....I just held him in such an higher esteem obviously lol....even though, we know his wife has told him to do it.
I don’t know, it’s just me...even though he obviously likes the architect lady and his wife’s said it’s ok, I thought maybe he’d take longer to get to that stage, so by that point it wouldn’t seem so typical *sleeps with someone on first date*, which I personally don’t get (approve of?), especially when he will have to drop so many whammies on his daughter’s head about it (and she’s obviously not that stable).... but guess that situation‘s not happened to me, so who am I to judge....it must be by upbringing etc to instil that in me, and jee this is even a fictional character lol.
And yes, I’ve seen the whole thing, so am fully aware of the end - although I assume her girlfriend is the extra person in that helicopter with them!

I've done it before and I honestly think that people make too much of a big deal out of it. If that attraction and the will to do it is mutual, and that you are both comfortable in that decision, I really don't think it's a big deal.
