Ummm 911 operators aren’t supposed to hang up are they?

So he gets a call from someone clearly under duress and assumes it’s a prank and says “I’m hanging up”, wtf I’m pretty sure that’s against protocol

I haven't seen this movie because of the terrible reviews I've encountered so far... but regarding this, I have seen news reports about 911 operators hanging up on people in real life and they have gotten fired.

Yeah don’t watch this movie, the stupidity of the characters is beyond infuriating

There is a point 911 operators can hang up, but generally you have to make an attempt to assist the person unless it becomes clear that its a hoax or there is no more an operator can do. You can get fired and possibly arrested for hanging up on people.
