Am I missing something?? She used to have like a russian accent? What happened with that?

It's gone away over time as she's lived in the US. She still had it somewhat in WandaVision but now it's pretty much kaput.

Could it be because of Rus being on the outs for obvious reasons?
By the way her normal American speaking voice is very pleasant and nice to hear someone speak and not be repelled.

No, it only comes out now and again when she's really angry or losing control. Most didn't like it so they just slowly phased it out.

Which is hilarious. People don't lose accents over a few years, particularly at her age.

She was terrible at it, so they phased it out many movies ago.

They implied she got rid of it after Civil War to help hide her when she was basically a fugitive of the law.

That's also why Black Widow went blonde, Cap grew a beard, and Vision started disguising as a human.
