So this whole movie is about Guilt Tripping people for not liking miles.

Even the directors say so. Its makes taking the movie seriously pretty hard. People are not obligated to like Miles. Just like people are not obligated to like broccoli.

Spider-Man is Peter Parker and no one else. I'd like Miles Morales if his alter-ego was something original. Piggybacking on a legacy character is lazy. I also find it interesting that there's so much overlap between the types of people that get all bent-out-of-shape over cultural appropriation and the people who say things like, "Anyone can be Spider-Man!"
