i work for a religious homeless shelter, one that has many people in senior positions who are what you would think of as being standard religious conservatives with all the beliefs and world-views that implies.
As usual, you're jumping to your own conclusions and assigning them to me.
I haven't said that religious people are bad. Quite the contrary: they try to do what they think it's right. That includes Wokes, Christians and other religions. Even a Muslim guy who beheads the non-believer, he does it because he thinks it's the correct thing to do: it's better to behead one person than to let future generations burn in Hell for Eternity because they were not brought to True Faith.
They're usually portrayed in movies as evil guys that enjoy being evil, but it's the opposite: they're people who do what they do because they think it's the morally right thing to do.
we do not need constant reminders drilled into our heads of equity and diversity and acceptance.
Well, once you accept True Faith, it becomes
The Most Important Thing in the World. And once you're found
The Most Important Thing in the World, you actually need constant reminders. And don't get me wrong: it's for your own good, because everything else pales, everything else is secondary in comparison with
The Most Important Thing in the World.
