Seems like a lot of people here didn't like it, I thought it was pretty great and much better than I expected. Costner and Lane were both excellent. I haven't seen too many good movies from this year but this in my top 5. 8/10

shareSpoilers!!!!!!! I thought it was pretty good also. Not the happiest of endings but the story was symbolic of how he gives his life to give his grandson a good life. How can you not like Kevin Costner and Diane Lane? What a beautiful woman for her age also.
shareI thought it was an excellent film. It was a gripping dramatic thriller with great performances and beautiful scenery. This was probably the most tense and suspenseful film I saw last year. The conversations between the Blackledges and the Weboys were some of my favorite dialogue exchanges ever, so full of simmering tension.

It's really Diane Lane's film. It's funny; she and Costner both have about identical screen time, but she speaks so much more and dominates the foreground.
