Tipped It’s Hand Too Early…

This show did. Thing is I feel it tipped it’s hand way too early on some key aspects of the show which I didn’t like. Would’ve liked it more if it was a supernatural mystery & they kept it a secret till the end but some of the revelations or what we do learn I felt took something away from this.

The reveal that the shipbuilders were the one’s that are responsible for orchestrating what was going on was too soon, too fast for my taste. This Singleton guy that owned the company, who refitted & refurbished the vessels by adding new tech brought down some of the mystique of the series. We now know who & maybe how, all that’s left is why. That the triangle was the symbol of his company & so on & was embroidered on every freaking thing didn’t help. Felt that this took away some of the mystery & suspense from what was going. It’s dumb that you see triangles on the carpeting, etc & it’s clear that the staff, well some of the staff who are probably part of Singleton’s inner circle are probably involved.

The “boy” must be part of his staff, a cabin boy, possibly his son or a nephew etc. He was dressed in uniform was he not? With the pea coat, etc. Tattooed with the companies symbol? Maybe he was naturally mute, someone who could be relied on not to say anything. He was also of course familiar with the other guy who also must be part of Singleton’s crew.

Why this guy killed Ada is a mystery, as well as the others. Why did he lure her to kill her? What purpose did it serve? Poor sweet girl, she was the nicest person on this show.

Also this “company” business reminds me too much of “Alien”. You know “The company, Mother (Ships computer)” & all that. Didn’t like the references to this “company”. It’s been done already in too many other shows/movies.

Would’ve liked it if it was more of a Bermuda/Devil’s Triangle type of scenario, totally supernatural & out of everyone’s hands instead of learning that there are people that are behind it. Like I said it tips its hand to where this is eventually going, too early. What’s it going to be? Some Einstein whiz kid who’s years ahead of his/her time comes up with this technology or it was given to him by extraterrestrials or it was discovered from the same or time travelers from the future or discovered from the lost civilization of Atlantis? Things like that?

Liked what they did with Franz, that they gave him redeeming qualities, his compassion over Ada’s death where he was civil towards the Danish & he actually seems to be one of the few who has no problem with Maura, or outwardly scoffs at her like the others do. Sebastian the first mate sort of reminds me of Jude Law, he resembles him somewhat.

As far as finding Maura’s name on the passenger manifest of the Prometheus, Eyk could’ve you know checked to see if she was also listed on the Kerberos passenger manifest as well before reacting. What’s suspicious is why is it her voice that you hear telling everyone in the beginning to “Wake up!”? What does this portend? Could she be involved in the going ons more than any of us realize? Maybe she’s the “boys” mother & doesn’t remember?

Otherwise I like the show, except for the obligatory homo/erotic plot lines of course which have to be a staple of everything that’s made nowadays & we have to trudge through but ok. What do you all think? Share your thoughts please.
