So I finally watched the show "no one asked for"

I had zero interest in this. One of my first posts here was like, "Who the fuck asked for this?"

Rogue One is my favorite Star Wars movie that Disney has made but I didn't care for Andor in the movie nor was I interested in a prequel to a prequel.

Quite ironic really that the show I didn't want turned out to be one of the most well written pieces of media I've watched in recent memory.

Not Obi Wan, not Ahsoka or freaking Boba Fett but a show about a forgettable character from Rogue One.

But let's be honest, it's an ensemble show. In terms of characters that is. Every freaking actor was ace in this.

The characters were fleshed out. Loved the look of the show. Loved the costumes. Loved the setting & world.

Absolutely loved everything about the show. I want season 2 & I want it right now! πŸ˜†

I enjoyed it as well.
For once, a Star Wars show that had some decent writing in it. All thanks to Tony Gilroy.

Apparently, season 2 will shape up to be even better.

Yeah. And they managed to do something that most Star Wars media has failed imo, they made The Empire actually scary.

No Emperor or any Sith necessary (As onscreen appearance at least).

Made me go, "Holy shit! That's a scary world to live in"

Ben Mendelsohn will apparently be returning, and we get to K2SO and Cassian becoming friends... and some other stuff.

Glad you enjoyed it.

I'm looking forward to K2SO the most. He was probably my fave in Rogue One.

Andor is now my favourite piece of Star Wars. I absolutely loved the darker and more serious direction they went with. I haven't been this thrilled or moved by Star Wars since I was a kid and saw the OT in the 90's.

It's not just a great Star Wars series, it's a great series no matter what. I really wish they'd make more shows and movies where the writing is this good and the focus is not on Jedis and the force etc.

Can't wait for season 2. 10/10 for season 1.
