Liked It (Spoilers)
Was it as good as the first one? Well of course, not.
Biggest complaint was the coup of Denzel‘s character seemed rushed. And his overall intentions unclear. He wanted to be emperor but to what end? That wasn’t really explained. Or not explained well.
Movie didn’t have the emotion of the first film but it did hit on the heartstrings enough to make you care. Honestly would’ve been better if Crowe was involved as a guiding voice from the afterlife to Lucius.
Solid 7/10. Could’ve been an 8 or 9 if the above complaints were addressed.
Def doesn’t need a part 3. Nor do I think there will be.
