Nobody is waiting for this. Few will see this in cinemas. Ridley is stabbing his earlier work in the back.

Depends on the quality of the finished product. If it is good, people will go see it (e.g. Top Gun Maverick).

Sure. But Ridley Scott lost the ability to make a good movie years ago.

You can say that again... but the new trailer makes G2 look like Scott made a good movie, though and maybe he actually made a great sequel to Gladiator! What was Scott's last good movie?

Nope. Good Will Hunting meets Gladiator goes to France was a terrible idea, bad movie and a flop.

You're right, I really liked that movie a lot! Of course, All The Money In The World was Ridley Scott's last good movie. I stand corrected.

I think people wouldn't mind seeing a sequel. But I just don't think it's going to break even if the budget is as high as been reported.
