Will it suck like Blade Runner 2?

sharePersonally I think Blade Runner 2049 is a considerably better film than Gladiator. I would imagine this will suck, but we'll see.

Blade Runner 2049 was pretty good. Not a classic, like the original, but worth a watch.
If Gladiator 2 is as good, it's done all right.

shareFirst of all BR2 is a great film. Second, the comparisons to Gladiator are pointless. Two completely different kind of movies. Gladiator is more of a macho dudes type of movie. While BR2 is more for intellectuals.
shareI always thought Gladiator was a revenge movie, as in the taglines:
The general who became a slave.
The slave who became a gladiator.
The gladiator who defied an emperor.
Simple enough premise, but so captivating, unlike the snoozefest that is Blade Runner.
Also, I call it by its full name because, for all the Japanese know, you could be calling Battle Royale "intellectual", too.
