Late reply but I agree. This version is very enjoyable. The music and the design are all lovely. They also played Emma close to what she was in the book...almost unbearable. The only thing that was questionable was the nosebleed. That was just silly.
shareI have never read the book but I watched the movie last night and enjoyed it quite a bit. The production design and cinematography are amazing, the film is well-cast and features great performances, and Anya Taylor-Joy in particular is delightful in the title role.
It made very little at the box office, sadly, but I thought it was a good movie. Hopefully it's picked up a much wider viewership through streaming.
