So it's about sex. Why don't the US parents teach their children about freedom?

So many repressed genders and psychos are spewn from that oversight. You cannot control teens, only give them knowledge before they are such.

Oh, and religion is just a form of control of the uneducated.

You haven’t read the book or seen the movie. It’s about a young girl trying to find what she believes as for religion or if she believes at all.

"We must, we must, we must increase our bust!"

Everything is about sex, buster!

However, the movie deals primarily with the search for God and why this is eventually pointless.

I just saw it last night. It's not about sex. There are two main story lines: 1) an eleven year old girl's dilemma over whether to adopt the Christian religion of her mother, the Jewish religion of her father, or no religion at all, and 2) her anxiety over when she will enter puberty, which is focused, in her mind, on getting her first period. There is no sex, and absolutely nothing graphic, or even discussed in detail. There are no politics or agendas. I would take any kid to see it, without hesitation, with no worries about their minds being warped in any way.

Finally a normal comment. Thanks

It's basically about growing up from a girl's perspective. It deals with many issues like her first crush, fitting in, family, peer pressure, gossip, identity, family estrangement, teacher inspiration, guilt, etc..

Her experiences are universal which makes the book and movie relatable to many women.

Banning the book says more about the idiot adults than anything in the book or movie.
