Why should this come as a shock?

MuckDonald's has been ripping off its customers for decades. It seems to be their business model to shortchange people. Even as a kid, I remember our family going there and ordering five cheeseburgers, and when we opened the bag there would be only four. One time we received a "cheeseburger" with no patty... just a bun filled with ketchup.

Needless to say I haven't eaten there in years. They can keep their low-quality, garbage food.

Sadly there are too many people who can only afford such places as McDonalds.
And sadly for that kind of pay, its hard to find good workers.

By me the McDonalds always has a line, it's in a nice neighborhood and the people there are quality college and high school kids.

For what it is. McDonalds provides a good service

There are quite a few other places that provide better food for the same price or less. Keep an eye out for coupons and specials.

I disagree, the Quarter pounder is now made with FRESH beef (not frozen). There is no comparison to the food now then what it was in the 80's where burgers used to sit on the slide shelf for hours. The milkshakes are incredible. You can get a hot fudge sundae for $1.50.

McDonald's wants the millinials business, that generations fickleness has motivated the chain to up it's game.

Recently I went to a McD's with a youngster (his choice) to get a happy meal. He chose Gogurt as a side to his little burger and drink. They gave him the tube of yogurt but also a kid sized fries. At first I thought it was a nice gesture but later suspected if they give a kid fries whether they ordered them or not, they might want them next time over the healthier choice.

Exactly!

So based on one restaurant long ago, you can judge all of them today? I bet you like the hipster restaurant that charges $10 for a burger with side!

I don't patronize "hipster" or other shallow trendy places.

My assessment isn't based on "one restaurant long ago." This has occurred countless times at different locations for decades, going back to when my family went there when I was a kid.

They've got a lot of nerve shortchanging their customers, especially after they've made big money by exploiting workers and putting other restaurants out of business. Another reason why I don't do business with them.
