Sit-coms
I haven't watched a sit-com since the 1980s. Did they really become so self indulgent, where the characters nervously relay their angst in monologues to the camera? Doesn't seem funny. Seems awful.

I don’t like it much myself, but yeah it’s a common trope in post-millennial sitcoms
For what it’s worth, WandaVisiion was meant to be Wanda’s attempt at recreating that trope, so some cringe-factor is justified
