The film portrays Jim Bakker as a conman/hustler who used the money from PTL to live the high life. Both Jim and Tammy enjoyed the wealth. I remember seeing a documentary in the 1980s when the scandal story broke. Their dogs had air conditioned kennels! They had gold taps in their bathroom. Tammy clearly enjoyed the luxuries as well as Jim.

after watching the movie I've learned that she wrote 5 books & recorded over 20 albums & all the profits went back into the church. She was never paid a dime so maybe Jim was bigger hustler of the two.
