I'm surprised that this is such a recent story. I don't recall hearing much about it in Britain.
How is Dupont viewed in WV these days? Are the locals still getting medical help with the confirmed C8 illnesses or was the final payout a cover-all for whoever needs it ?
No idea about West Virginia, but I was also surprised when I first learned about this story. I live in the US and still knew nothing about it until very recently. Maybe I was just too young to be paying attention, but I don't remember anything about it in the news or in the public discourse. I asked my parents about it and they seemed to have only a vague notion of the incident at best.

Really? You'd think this would be a huge news story in the country of origin.
shareYou really would think so, but most people I've asked about it either said they weren't aware of it or they just said, "Oh, I think I heard something about that. . ." In terms of the story becoming a big thing and damaging the reputation of the company in the eyes of the public, it seems they really got off very light.
