I didn't enjoy the show but I don't usually watch horror films. I'm troubled by the overuse of the n-word since a lot of white people are fired or cancelled for using the n-word. The sambo character is a scary looking supernatural being so I will have to give them credit for that. I don't think there is a sympathetic white character in the whole show. I just wish they would make a positive show instead of this collection of atrocities.

The main characters were also poor role models for viewers since they usually responded with violence. The husband hits the guy from behind and shoots a cop. The wife threatens the neighborhood with a gun, punches the neighbor in the face and starts swinging the axe. I think they went back in time only to show blacks being burnt alive.

Overall, I didn't enjoy watching the family go crazy and white people were not portrayed positively at all.

I'm sorry . . . . are you upset that you can't use the N word? Are you saying that white people shouldn't be fired for using the N word?

Do you think white people treated blacks who moved into their neighborhoods 'positively'? They didn't and this was a horror anthology so did you expect it to be a joyful portrayal of lives for black people in the 50's? Fuck, there is NO way I'd want to be in their position.

My point is that the n-word should not be appearing in a movie if it is a forbidden word. The word should not considered a hateful word if it appears in African-American movies, shows and music. I don't use that word for the reasons highlighted above. I assert that white people should not be fired for using the n-word when everybody else is using it with impunity. I've met several whites who use it casually and do not realize that they can get in trouble for using it.

I believe some white folks treated blacks who moved into their neighborhood positively. It's certainly not true that ALL whites treated blacks poorly. There were white abolitionists and even white civil rights workers. There could have been at least one kindly white neighbor instead of all them treating the family poorly. I don't think there was even one favorable portrayal of a white character.

in this day and age blacks are welcomed with open arms into all neighborhoods as it makes the whites in the community think the area is now hip and cool
