Very tiring series
I stuck this out to the end, but it was very hard work! The on/off relationship between the Connell and Marianne was very frustrating. None of them seemed able to communicate with each other about their emotions.
I wish that the drama allowed for a wider focus on Marianne's family and her background. She was clearly damaged emotionally, but no explanation was ever given. Her mother was very cold towards her, leading you to wonder if she loved at all.
Will have to read the book.
