But let’s keep pretending America is the bigoted country that hates gay people, even though those other countries won’t even show movies if gay people are in them.

Whilst Disney is a shitty company, fair play for not caving in and editing it for these markets. I mean, they'll still bow to China of course and do anything they say, but still.
Not that it matters though I guess, some enterprising person will get hold of a web rip and make a fan edit cleaning the film of the "problematic" content and the edited, pirated film will still circulate I imagine.
If China was to ban it though ...
