I liked It

Low budget for sure, but it imbued shades of Ginger Snaps and focuses on character (pretty well-acted characters, at that). It's also appropriately titled, if you get the subtle reference of the lead maintaining her human identity and keeping a hold onto her core self. Was a bit slow, but it engaged me emotionally, and kept me watching (although I did watch it at X1.3 speed, which may have helped that a bit). I don't quite get the low rating, but these days I don't get a lot of the hate-filled low ratings or fanboy high ratings on IMDB, so there's that. I personally enjoyed watching it, and quite liked the conclusion. There are issues, including with pacing, but a 5.5 from me.

I’m a sucker for werewolf movies, but this one took a bit too much joy in its sadism for my taste.

Assuming Lisa had insurance on her book store—and I can’t believe she did not—she will be fully compensated for the arson, so she gets to liquidate the property and move on quickly without having to find a buyer.
