picked up toward the end
On the whole, I enjoyed it. Most of the setups seemed to get paid off so I was happy about that (I hate when shows set up 25 questions in season 1 and you have to spend all of season 2 and 3 wondering if they're ever going to close any of those circuits or if their whole story is all about NOT giving you any payoffs). The pace picked up a bit in the last few episodes but I think the slowish pace is part of their whole style. It's an unusual way to do a space story, more 2001 A Space Odyssey than Apollo 13. I suppose lots of space travel is sitting around and waiting, right? The characters were good, but if there were another season, I would like a little less emoting and a little more action.
I would be willing to check out season 2.
