Coleman Domingo refutes claims of a toxic set

Coleman Domingo, who portrays recovering drug addict Ali Muhammad, recently told the Independent that he felt the accusations by other series actors of a toxic workplace due to lengthy shoots and the alleged mistreatment of actors, as well as onset chaos during the second season are overblown.

He suggested the problem may instead be that a lot of the young actors may not be up for the task or have the same work ethic he has. Domingo said, “I’ve been in this business for 32 years. I know what hard work is. So when I heard those ‘reports,’ I thought, ‘Where is this coming from? That’s just a normal work day.’ Be a professional.”

If any of the traits he brings to his character in Fear the Walking Dead reflect the real Coleman Domingo, he is a gigantic pompous ass.

reply

Sure. Because actors are always like their characters.

And which part of his comment is pompous?

reply

IT WOULD BE FAIR TO MENTION THAT MR. DOMINGO APPEARED ON EIGHT EPISODES...OUT OF 19 TOTAL EPISODES FOR THE SHOW.

reply

Yet his comment remains valid.

reply

WHO SAID IT WASN'T?

reply

You obviously did by inferring he wasn’t on set enough to see any toxic situations. Otherwise why post that comment? What purpose does it serve?

reply

FULL DISCLOSURE.

reply

What do they mean by “toxic”? With the way todays culture it probably had to do with micro aggressions or other dumb shit

reply

Exactly!
