What's so great about Zendaya?

I don't get the hype. Shit, she's out-acted by about everyone in the show. If I didn't know the name I'd think Euphoria would be her first and last gig.

I never heard that she was great and as an earlier comment stated, she's a Disney Channel "star" so she has a built-in audience that is aging with her so it makes sense from a marketing/demographic standpoint to cast her in maturing roles.

shes not very good

and she has zero screen prescence

What If we blindfolded ourselves and put Zendaya, Kristin Stewart, and some bread in a room? Then we proceed to interview each object - I bet most couldn't tell who they were talking to.

She's half black. She belongs to the worshipped race.

Agreed completely. Her acting is really overrated, the character isn't likeable enough for a main character and (at least in this show) she's not even all that cute. I don't get it. I find this show a curious watch, despite everything, but she's really the weak link for me.
