I don't get why the old guy did that either. Was it supposed to give Christian permission to do that girl, or clap him further along the mental path they needed him on? I know, one little thing, but Christian asks why at that point, so it sticks out to me and bugs me
shareAfter he claps at him, he looks towards the elders, and sort of nods while we hear someone hitting a glass for a toast. He was probably checking to see if Christian was fully susceptible and tripping really hard, and then queues the elders to send Dani off to bless the crops.
