I am not a historian at all, but I am aware of a Norse tradition similar to what is depicted here. But to my understanding, the nine lives to be sacrificed must be voluntary. Can anyone familiar with this ceremony fill me in?

I want to know too. Is there any cults out there in Europe similar to this? While I understand that it’s fake I was interested by the singing. Maybe that was authentic.
