There is no answer. He probably did it because many rituals(like the ones in Hereditary and Midsommar) are done with the participants naked. Rosemary's Baby had a ritual where everyone was naked also and the end of Hereditary reminded me of the Polanski movie.

I can see the director trying to make it all look artsy as well.
"Ok Ma'am... now here is your motivation.. ma'am, no.. not now ma'am... no.. don't touch the naked young man yet... ok... so your character is... ma'am... no touchy there... ma'am... this is a serious scene... your character gets caught up and pushes the young man's buttocks as he is... ma'am... if you keep doing that you will make it go off and it's just not that type of movie..."
