Atmospheric and enigmatic
The Block Island Sound reeks with atmosphere, and it tells a good story while keeping the mystery interesting. Kudos to the music and sound design. There is a nice sense of creeping dread, and the cold, windy, watery locale adds to the overall effect.

The answer to the mystery, summed up in the sister’s earlier talk with her daughter, ties up the movie proper nicely, but it may create discussion once the lights come on. It is thought provoking, which good movies do.
