I just read the Wiki article about the book these series are based on and there's absolutely nothing in common apart from character names.
They marketed the show as GoT for Kids and they got 50% right. It is for kids. If I wasn't stuck at home I wouldn't have watched it.
I bet it's really convenient when you can shred good storytelling, complex character development and any depth and simply color-code good and evil according to skin color and\or gender. Some of the dialogue sounds like a parody.

Woke Netflix making a woke series. With the usual 'diversity medieval' bullshit and white males playing the usual evil nazis.

Amir Wilson is fucking cancer. He was the worst thing about His Darkest Materials and now he's the worst thing in Letter for the King.
I can't even fucking stand his resting bitch face and his sickly eyes. OMFG.
What a terrible miscast.
