Romola Garai’s over-gesturing in Emma 2009 drove me crazy, esp when she threw herself down on her bed. But this is adapted from a series of cheesy romance novels that I will never read. The production is very enjoyable indeed. I am adjusting to the loud colors, non-period behaviors and lack of true English country dances while I sit back to enjoy the ride.
Bring on season 2!
