I had a similar idea for new version of Chucky....

only instead of Making Chucky Tech based and completely rebooting....

in my verison , The entire movie you would never get into his Origin, the audience would assume Its the same Magic/Voodoo based origin where a serial killer transferred his soul...

but at the end it would be revealed, It was instead A Serial Killer Controlling Chucky, Chucky was in fact tech based, and The serial Killer used Chucky remotely like a drone to Kill People, The serial Killer got off on stalking families and missing with them...and of course we find out at the end The serial killer is in fact Charles Lee Ray....

So basically you just take the Voodoo out of it....Charles Lee Ray is in fact Chucky, But He Build A Drone/robot to stalk and Kill Families...Chucky of course still talks and act Human, This is part of Charles Lee Rays Method.

but I think This version looks decent too...

Chucky Being completely tech based being able to control any these electronics has potential....I just think some wont like the fact that they are getting so far away from the Charles Lee Ray and The whole "Serial Killer" origin...


Obviously With The Technology of today, The clear way to go with a Childs Play reboot was make Chucky Technology based, but Its entirely possible they might have went too far and took too much out......at least with My version, Chucky is still In fact Charles Lee Ray
