They should have, but they had no intention to. This isn't a casting issue, it's a story issue.

shareI forget where I read it but they're going for a straight up cash in on the success of Stranger Things. It's Andy's doll but his group of friends are helping him out in the movie. Same age group and even number of boys, if I recall correctly.
