Good Acting and Fun Story.

As usual, I like Walburg's kind of characters. I don't know what you call them, but they are earnest people who are a little dumb.

His wife reminded me a LOT of girls in Philly. There are many beautiful Irish girls like that in Philly who are perfect looking blondes, but they are so manly and crude, I wouldn't be able to get an erection, lol.

I hated her, but the actress did a great job!

Allen Arkin is always funny.

Superheroes:

I love then people make movies about superheroes who aren't. His wife at one points out how they are like Batman characters and it was a great point.

There's a Matthew McCawhatever movie called Mud. He is like a magical superhero, but they never say it. Great movie and idea.

reply

Agreed. I thought Bookem Woodbine did good too. He's always been one of my favorites since Jason's Lyric. Guy seems to always play the friend that turns out to be the bad guy in the end, but he does it so well.

Also yes, that woman was gorgeous and the actress was amazing at the part. Glad I found this.

reply

He is now evil Dave Chapelle!

I have hated him since I saw Poker House and he raped Jennifer Lawrence.

He has a gross vibe like he should be beaten then shot.

It is sad because always plays these racial stereotype "nice black guy" who turns out to be a two faced pervert.

I wish he would get some new roles.

reply

Perhaps he will some day.

reply

He was great in the season 2 of Fargo.

reply

I hated that movie.

What type of character did he play.

reply

Not the movie.

FX has had 3 seasons as a series of Fargo.

He played a hit man named Mike Mulligan in season 2 of the Fargo.

Hey, Mark Walhberg raped Alyssa Milano in Fear and I've gotten over it.

reply

Right, I never watched the show due to the movie.

I dislike the coen bros when they focus on people not of their own kind. The robotic talking, everyone is a dumbass, the female cop was like and autistic savant. It's all a form of prejudice.

The heinous show Northern Exposure was like that.

reply

Bookem Woodbine was also excellent in Devil.

reply

It was a fun watch for a rainy afternoon. Never watched Spenser for Hire, so I had no expectations.

reply

Spenser wasn't a "little dumb". He was a literate intellectual. Hawk was an urban sophiscate. This isn't Spenser. I am not denying it looks good

reply

I understand.

I didn't get that it was Spenser for Hire.

I hate when source material isn't honored since it was very successful to begin with. However, I know so little about the books or show, I didn't know what I was watching. So, I enjoyed it as a Mark Walberg movie.

I like his honest yet slightly dumb characters who are single minded. I enjoyed the end of this because it reminded me of myself. The scene where he sees another problem on TV and can't stop watching and you just know what he's going to do.

However, I would have hated it if I loved the real characters.

reply

I am probably going to watch it. The trailer looks good and I like MW.

reply

It is "fun" and something different.

The "different" part is the acting. It is generally good with some fun characters.

Walburg's wife was really something and well done by the actress.
