The only problem with the plot

is that the couple is guilty about the wrong person.
Nyagek drowning wasn't anyone's fault. She was always supposed to board the bus and cross the ocean, regardless of Bol's interference. OTOH, Nyagek's mom's was left behind to die, because her seat on the bus was stolen from her by Bol. The mom should have been the one haunting the couple, but clearly the couple wasn't guilty about her.

What?

The husband kidnapped a young girl from her mother, the wife promised to protect her, she then died because the husband pulled his wife away and she didn’t save the girl.

Had the girls Mum been on the boat she may have been able to save her daughter and they both get rescued.

Not to mention there is no guarantee the daughter would have got in the bus as she was separated from her mother and only reason the bus hadn’t closed the doors was because Bol kept them open trying to get on. If he hadn’t done that the girl likely never would have made it on.

The husband didn't kidnap the girl from the mother, he separated the mother from the girl, by taking the mother's place on the bus. The girl and mother were trying to get on the bus. If the girl hadn't gotten on board, she would have been shot down along with her mother.

..... THAT'S THE SAME BLOODY THING, he took the girl away from her mother and even when he saw the mum looking for her he did nothing and then made the girl stay quiet, that is literally abducting and kidnapping a child.

You need to go back and watch the scene because had the guy not been there the bus would have left before the mother and daughter got on. We literally see he is holding them up by not letting her close the door and begging her. He then grabs said random child and uses her. He then gets on the bus. The scene wasn't reserved for the mother or daughter. It was just lucky there was one. But the daughter was seperated from her mother, had the guy not been holding up the bus the doors would have closed before the girls mother found her and would have left before the bad guys showed up.

We also never see if the mother is killed it's implied but never explicitly shown.

If the bus left before either of the mother or daughter got on, they would have died immediately. Like you said, this is not explicitly shown but heavily implied. The husband bringing the girl on board kept her alive a little bit longer.

reply

Same can be said the other way that not getting on the bus and the bus leaving sooner they wouldn't have been bunched up together adding more chance to survival.

What the F is wrong with you?

I just watched this. Did he know she had a mother? I'm not trying to be funny, but I thought he saw her standing there by herself and used her to get on the bus. After he was on the bus, he saw her mother. The mother may have even pushed her daughter up to the front by herself in hopes she'd get a seat. I don't know. The whole thing was messed up.

reply

When he grabbed her I think it was essentially 50/50 chance. He didn’t know she had a mother. Once saw her yelling for her mum and woman outside calling for her he knew 100% then that she had a mother. He choose to keep quiet and keep the girl quiet because he didn’t want to be kicked off the bus.

The way the mother was calling for the daughter it wasn’t a case that she had pushed the daughter to the front. They somehow got separated.

reply

Yes, they were probably separated! I don't know. What a messed up situation!!! I can only say I'm happy to never been put in that position.

reply

only families with kids were suppose to be on the bus.
