An inconvenient truth... creature effects :(

I get it, there is too much (often badly done) CGI in film and TV. Practical effects are an art form that should be encouraged and appreciated, these are skills we do not want to lose.

But people, if Jurassic Park came out with Star Wars level creature effects, the franchise would be doomed, Chris Pratt would be excommunicated from the screen actor's guild, and Spielberg would be stripped of all his Oscars.

Yes, its a part of the Star Wars lore, but let's be open about that and not pretend these puppets are not 1970s level effects. That's 50 years ago. This is a multi-billion dollar franchise with A-list actors.

Stop drinking the Kool-aid, Sesame Street has more realistic looking characters than this. It is getting to the point that this is negating all the other well funded areas of quality story telling.
