Remake
I'm guessing this is a remake of the Gish film from 1928. That movie is brilliant. I hope the new filmmakers are able to do it justice.

I would say the 1928 film qualifies as a "horror, western." Also, the synopsis sound similar:
"A supernatural thriller set in the Western frontier of the late 1800's, The Wind stars Caitlin Gerard (INSIDIOUS: THE LAST KEY) as a plains-woman driven mad by the harshness and isolation of the untamed land." -- (2018)
The 1928 film is about a young girl who is blown unfavorable directions in life eventually landing her out west where she is driven mad by isolating country life and the powerful wind.
