Starting to lose interest!

I want more about the airplane missing years but they keep this dramma stuff that is actually quite boring!

If it doesn't pick up the pace, I will stop watching.

I lost interest two weeks ago after the creator said this will last 6 seasons and be a slow burn.

reply

He's full of himself. It's probably going to be more like a slow circle the drain. Which is too bad because it had potential.

reply

he's delusional if he thinks this will still be on after 6 seasons.

Six seasons???

He's nuts. No way this thing is gonna last that long. I've been thinking of dropping it, and this nudges me closer to that decision. And I really don't think they have any idea whatsoever of what to do with it.

Give it time. It will pick up.

I quit a week ago. Let me guess, this latest episode revolved around someone having a vision/feeling that led to solving some mystery/problem.

I gave it a shot but stopped 2 episodes before I planned due to the no-burn and growth of character annoyance.

Bingo!

I lost interest when I read the synopsis of the series. How could that possibly happen? So, what is the point of the series/story?

reply

I agree, it's starting to get boring.

Right, and last night (11/12/2018) was one of the worst (most boring) ... and what with sooooo many commercials ... I think NBC really doesn't know how to handle this type of tv show: the concept is great - an airplane lost for 5 years and then reapear and that's a typical weird time slip stuff that if you research DO HAPPEN in real life - but NBC fumbles it.

I think the show could had been waaaay better in Syfy or FOX where they have more experience with weird and strange tv shows or maybe Netflix like Stranger Things or Amazon ... anywhere EXCEPT NBC!

(Yawns) I could not agree more. BTW, I DVR it so I fast forward through the commercials.

Honestly this is so so true. Imagine this show on Syfy. They would have a field day with it. Literally go absolutely crazy. I mean look what they did with the magicians. Great concept, great actors, great special effects, and the greatest plot ever. Love that show.

Manifest has so much potential but it's just not going anywhere very fast. Or even at a medium pace. They're making no headway about the "callings" and there's about 3 characters that are so annoying I can hardly stand watching them. So close to giving up on this show but I really just want to know the answer to how they came back 5 years later.

You're right about Fox having more experience with "weird and strange TV shows." The X-Files, Wayward Pines and Sleepy Hollow come to mind.

Fox has done some of the best work in terms of network television. The problem with Fox is that they often stumble after the first season. I loved the first seasons of Wayward Pines and Sleepy Hollow for instance--to this day, the pilot for Sleepy Hollow remains one of the single best episodes of television I've ever seen--but both shows quickly went downhill starting with their second seasons.

reply

I will try to finish this season but I don't like where the story is going with an 'evil' corporation experimenting on people angle. bleh.

reply

its the Umbrella Corporation

That’s actually funny.

I dumped it after episode 3.

I stopped watching this show after the second episode. It was just boring.
